The Ultra-Grate Guard® is designed for use with flat grate catch basins to catch sediment, silt, debris, and other runoff before they enter waterways, allowing runoff to flow through while blocking sediment. It is constructed from high-flow woven material and installs by sliding onto the storm drain's grate, secured with heavy-duty hook and loop fasteners to keep it closed. Once installed, sediment, dirt, silt, and other pollutants can be easily removed with a broom, flat shovel, or similar tool without needing to remove the grating, keeping everything at street level. This product is particularly useful on construction sites and other areas with large amounts of pollutants.
