Dirt, dust, and oil resistant NEMA 12 (IP54) continuous operation Cabinet Cooler® systems are designed for constant cooling and positive purge of electronic control panels and include a Cabinet Cooler, cold air distribution kit, and filter. The sound level is measured with an optional cold muffler installed. Unlike freon-based air conditioners, EXAIR® Cabinet Coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air with no moving parts, allowing installation in minutes through a standard electrical knockout while maintaining the NEMA rating of the enclosure. These units are UL listed and CE compliant. They are suitable for applications such as programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales, offering cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr (1,641 watts). Features include quiet operation, no CFCs, maintenance-free design, elimination of fans and filters, prevention of nuisance tripping and heat damage, stabilization of enclosure temperature and humidity, and washdown protection. EXAIR® Cabinet Cooler systems comply with OSHA safety requirements, the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC), and the noise limitation requirements of the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), and are listed to applicable UL standards by Underwriters' Laboratories. All sound measurements are taken at 3 feet.
