Thermostat controlled hazardous location NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, meeting stringent UL requirements and tested by UL. These HazLoc cabinet cooler systems provide reliable, low-cost cooling for purged electric control panels in environments classified as Class I Div 1, Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II Div 1 Groups E, F, and G; and Class III. Available in cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr, they can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4 thermostat control systems operate the cooler efficiently by activating only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, with an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C), making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. These cabinet coolers, rated dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service, include a low-pressure relief valve that seals the enclosure when the cooler is off, maintaining NEMA 4 integrity. Each system contains a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt ingress, as well as a cold air distribution kit to direct air circulation or target hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL classified and CE compliant. It is important to note that EXAIR's HazLoc cabinet cooler systems are not purged and pressurized control systems and should be used only in conjunction with a certified purged and pressurized control system.
