NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet coolers, designed for dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant indoor and outdoor service, incorporate a low pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust that closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the NEMA integrity of the electronic enclosure. Continuous Operation Cabinet Cooler® systems are recommended when constant cooling and constant positive purge are desirable and are available in many cooling capacities for large and small control panels with cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr (1,641 watts). Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit for directing air for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL listed, CE compliant, and comply with OSHA's safety requirements and the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC). These coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts and can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. The compact units provide washdown protection, stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity, eliminate fans and filters, stop nuisance tripping, heat damage, circuit drift, dirt contamination, and lost production. They are used in applications such as programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales. The warranty terms cover the product as specified by the manufacturer.
