NEMA 4X thermostat control systems efficiently operate a cabinet cooler by activating it only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. These thermostat-controlled systems include an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and incorporate NEMA 4X (IP66) stainless steel cabinet coolers suitable for food service and corrosive environments. EXAIR® cabinet coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts. The compact cooler installs easily through a standard electrical knockout and features a low pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust, which closes to maintain the integrity of NEMA 4 enclosures when the cooler is off. Available in various cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts), these NEMA 4X (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, corrosion resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service. All cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. They are used in applications including programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales.
