NEMA 4X thermostat control systems operate cabinet coolers efficiently by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. These systems include an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and feature NEMA 4X (IP66) stainless steel cabinet coolers designed for food service and corrosive environments. EXAIR® cabinet coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without any moving parts and can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4X (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, corrosion resistant, and suitable for indoor and outdoor service. They incorporate a low-pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the integrity of the NEMA 4 enclosure. Available in many cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts) for both large and small control panels, these coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. They provide advantages including low cost and compact size, quiet operation, quick installation, stabilized enclosure temperature and humidity, use of no CFCs, maintenance-free operation with no moving parts, mounting in a standard electrical knockout, prevention of nuisance tripping, heat damage, circuit drift, dirt contamination, and elimination of fans, filters, and lost production.
