Aluminum continuous operation ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, specifically Zones 2 and 22. These systems have been tested by UL and comply with stringent ATEX requirements. The cabinet coolers provide low-cost, reliable cooling for purged electric control panels with cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr. to 5,600 BTU/hr. (up to 1,641 watts). Installation is straightforward through a standard electrical knockout. They feature continuous operation for constant cooling and positive purge, include a low pressure relief valve that seals when the cooler is off to maintain NEMA 4 enclosure integrity (dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor/outdoor use), a water-dirt filter separator to prevent condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure, and a cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for enhanced circulation or targeting hot spots. All units are CE compliant and designed to be used in conjunction with purged and pressurized control systems, not as replacements. The systems are suitable for applications including programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, laser housings, and electronic scales.
