NEMA 4 (IP66) thermostat control systems are designed to operate cabinet coolers efficiently by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, with an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). These systems include a low pressure relief valve for both the cooler and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the NEMA integrity of the electronic enclosure. The sound level is measured with an optional cold muffler installed. Available in various cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts) for large and small control panels, these NEMA 4 cabinet coolers are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service. Unlike Freon-based air conditioners, they use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts and can be installed through a standard electrical knockout. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct the cold air for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant, offering quiet operation and maintaining stable enclosure temperature and humidity to prevent nuisance tripping and heat damage.
