NEMA 4 (IP66) thermostat control systems offer an efficient method to operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. These standard thermostat control systems include an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and feature NEMA 4 (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® systems that are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service. They incorporate a low pressure relief valve for both the cooler and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the NEMA integrity of the enclosure. The sound level is measured with an optional cold muffler installed. These cabinet coolers are available in multiple cooling capacities suitable for large and small control panels, producing cold air from compressed air via a vortex tube without any moving parts, unlike Freon-based air conditioners. Installation requires only a standard electrical knockout, and each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure, along with a cold air distribution kit to direct air circulation or target hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL listed, CE compliant, provide cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts), are quiet, compact, and help stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity without using CFCs, thus preventing nuisance tripping and heat damage.
