NEMA 12 (IP54) Cabinet Cooler® systems are dust-tight and oil-tight units designed for general industrial environments where no liquids or corrosives are present. These dirt, dust, and oil resistant thermostat control systems efficiently operate a cabinet cooler by activating it only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The standard thermostat control includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C), and sound level is measured with the optional cold muffler installed. The compact cabinet cooler can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout, maintaining the NEMA rating of the electronic enclosure. All cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. They provide a low-cost, reliable method to cool and purge electronic control panels by using a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air with no moving parts. Cooling capacities reach up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts) with quiet operation and features that stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity without the use of CFCs or fans and filters. The maintenance-free unit stops nuisance tripping, heat damage, circuit drift, and prevents lost production while protecting against dirt and dust. Applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales.
