Continuous operation hazardous location NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, meeting UL requirements for Class I Div 1, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II Div 1 Groups E, F, and G; and Class III locations. These HazLoc cabinet cooler systems provide reliable and low-cost cooling for purged electric control panels and are available in cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr. Installation is simple, requiring only a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4 (IP66) enclosure rating ensures dust-tight, oil-tight, splash-resistant protection suitable for indoor and outdoor service. Each system includes a low-pressure relief valve that seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain enclosure integrity, a water-dirt filter separator that prevents water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure, and a cold air distribution kit to effectively direct airflow for circulation or targeted spot cooling. All cabinet coolers are UL classified and CE compliant. EXAIR's HazLoc cabinet cooler systems are not purged and pressurized control systems themselves and are intended to be used in conjunction with a purged and pressurized control system only. The systems are recommended for applications requiring continuous cooling and continuous positive purge, such as programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales.
