NEMA 4 (IP66) thermostat control systems operate cabinet coolers efficiently by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. Standard systems include an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and feature a low pressure relief valve for both cooler and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when the cooler is off to maintain electronic enclosure integrity. These NEMA 4 (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor use. Available in various cooling capacities for large and small control panels, they use a vortex tube powered by compressed air with no moving parts and require installation through a standard electrical knockout. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt ingress and a cold air distribution kit for directing air circulation or targeting hot spots. Cooling capacities reach up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts). These cabinet coolers are UL listed, CE compliant, low cost, compact, quiet, stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity, contain no CFCs, and are maintenance-free.
