NEMA 4 (IP66) thermostat control systems are designed to efficiently operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The standard thermostat control system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). These NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service, incorporating a low pressure relief valve for both the cooler and cabinet air exhaust that closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the NEMA integrity of the electronic enclosure. Available in various cooling capacities for large and small control panels, they use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without any moving parts, and can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct air for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. They offer cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts), operate quietly, stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity, contain no CFCs, require no maintenance due to the absence of moving parts, and mount in standard electrical knockouts. Typical applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales.
