NEMA 12 (IP54) Cabinet Cooler® systems are designed for general industrial environments where no liquids or corrosives are present, providing dust-tight and oil-tight protection. These dirt, dust, and oil resistant thermostat control systems operate efficiently by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, with the thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). The compact cooler can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout, maintaining the NEMA rating of the electronic enclosure. Featuring cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr (1,641 watts), the systems are UL listed and CE compliant, incorporating a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts, resulting in a quiet and maintenance-free operation. The package includes the thermostat control system with an option for an optional cold muffler to reduce sound level. Suitable for applications such as programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales, these coolers stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity, eliminate fans and filters, prevent nuisance tripping, heat damage, and circuit drift, and provide protection from dirt and dust. The systems comply with OSHA safety requirements, the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC), and offer a reliable, low-cost method to cool and purge electronic control panels.
