NEMA 4 (IP66) thermostat control systems are designed to efficiently operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The standard thermostat control system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). These NEMA 4 (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service, featuring a low-pressure relief valve for both the cooler and cabinet air exhaust that seals when the cooler is off, maintaining the NEMA integrity of the electronic enclosure. Available in a range of cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts) for large and small control panels, these coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air with no moving parts and can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct air for circulation or at hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. Typical applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales. The NEMA 4 cabinet coolers are low cost, compact, quiet, stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity, contain no CFCs, stop nuisance tripping and heat damage, eliminate fans and filters, and prevent lost production.
