NEMA 4 (IP66) thermostat control systems efficiently operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. The standard system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and features a low pressure relief valve for both the cooler and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the NEMA integrity of the electronic enclosure. These NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet coolers are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor and outdoor service, and are available in various cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr (1,641 watts) for large and small control panels. Unlike freon-based air conditioners, EXAIR cabinet coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts and can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct air for circulation or onto hot spots. All cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. The units are low cost, compact, quiet, stabilize enclosure temperature and humidity, contain no CFCs, require no maintenance, and help prevent nuisance tripping and heat damage.
