Thermostat controlled hazardous location NEMA 4X (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, meeting UL stringent requirements. These cabinet cooler systems provide reliable and low-cost cooling for purged electric control panels in environments classified as Class I Div 1, Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II Div 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III. Constructed of stainless steel suitable for food service and corrosive environments, they offer cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4X thermostat control system, preset at 95°F (35°C) but adjustable, efficiently operates the cooler by activating it only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, optimizing air usage during fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The cabinet coolers are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor and outdoor service, and incorporate a low-pressure relief valve that seals when not operating to maintain NEMA 4X enclosure integrity. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator that prevents water condensate and dirt ingress and a cold air distribution kit to direct air flow for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. All units are UL classified and CE compliant. These HazLoc cabinet cooler systems are not purged and pressurized control systems and are intended for use in conjunction with such systems, not as replacements.
