Stainless steel thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, specifically zones 2 and 22. These systems have been tested by UL and meet stringent ATEX requirements. They offer cooling capacities from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. The thermostat control includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C), providing efficient operation by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making it ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. Each cooler system incorporates a low pressure relief valve that closes and seals when the cooler is not operating, maintaining the integrity of a NEMA 4X enclosure, which is dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor/outdoor service, and corrosion resistant. The kit includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct air circulation or focus on hot spots. All cabinet coolers are CE compliant and are designed to be used in conjunction with purged and pressurized control systems, not as replacements for such systems. These coolers are commonly applied in programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, and modular enclosures.
