Stainless steel thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, specifically Zones 2 and 22. These systems have been tested by UL and meet stringent ATEX requirements. Available with cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr, they can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. Thermostat control provides efficient operation by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, with the adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). Each system includes a low pressure relief valve that closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the integrity of a NEMA 4X enclosure, which is dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor/outdoor service, and corrosion resistant. The package includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for circulation or targeting hot spots. All cabinet coolers are CE compliant. These ATEX cabinet cooler systems are designed to be used in conjunction with, but not as a substitute for, purged and pressurized control systems.
