Stainless steel thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures found within classified areas, specifically Zones 2 and 22. These systems have been tested by UL and meet stringent ATEX requirements, offering cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr. They can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout and feature an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) for efficient operation, activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels. The systems include a low pressure relief valve that seals when the cooler is not operating, maintaining the integrity of a NEMA 4X enclosure which is dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor/outdoor service, and corrosion resistant. Each cooler system comes equipped with a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct air for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. All cabinet coolers are CE compliant. It is important to note that these ATEX cabinet cooler systems are not purged and pressurized control systems and should be used only in conjunction with such controllers, not as a replacement.
