Stainless steel thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures in classified areas, specifically zones 2 and 22, and have been tested by UL to meet stringent ATEX requirements. These systems offer cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed through a standard electrical knockout in minutes. The thermostat control includes an adjustable factory-set thermostat at 95°F (35°C), which efficiently operates the cooler by activating it only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making it ideal for fluctuating heat loads from environmental or seasonal changes. Each system includes a low pressure relief valve that closes and seals when the cooler is off to maintain NEMA 4X enclosure integrity, ensuring dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, corrosion resistant indoor/outdoor service. The kit includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure, and a cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for circulation or on hot spots. All cabinet coolers are CE compliant and are designed to be used in conjunction with purged and pressurized control systems, not as replacements. Typical applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, and modular setups.
