Aluminum thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures found within classified areas, specifically zones 2 and 22. These systems have been tested by UL and meet stringent ATEX requirements. The cabinet coolers provide cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed through a standard electrical knockout in minutes. The thermostat control system, which includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C), efficiently operates the cooler by activating it only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making it ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. Each unit incorporates a low-pressure relief valve that closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain the integrity of a NEMA 4 enclosure (dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, suitable for indoor/outdoor service). The systems also include a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure, as well as a cold air distribution kit that directs airflow for circulation or toward hot spots. All cabinet coolers are CE compliant.
