Aluminum thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, specifically Zones 2 and 22, meeting stringent ATEX requirements as tested by UL. These cooler systems provide cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. The thermostat control system, factory set at 95°F (35°C) and adjustable, improves efficiency by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures reach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. Each system includes a low pressure relief valve to preserve the NEMA 4 enclosure integrity—ensuring the enclosure remains dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor use. Additionally, all units feature a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and come with a cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. The cabinet coolers are CE compliant and designed for use in conjunction with, not as a replacement for, purged and pressurized control systems. These systems are suitable for applications including programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, and CCTV cameras.
