Aluminum thermostat controlled ATEX cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use with purged electrical enclosures in classified areas, having been tested by UL to meet stringent ATEX requirements. These systems provide a low-cost, reliable method to cool purged electric control panels and can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. The thermostat control system, which includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C), operates efficiently by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making it particularly effective for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. Each ATEX cabinet cooler includes a low pressure relief valve that seals when the cooler is off, maintaining NEMA 4 (IP66) enclosure integrity, which ensures dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistance, and suitability for indoor or outdoor use. The system package comprises a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt from entering the enclosure and a cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for optimal circulation or targeting hot spots. All cabinet coolers are CE compliant. EXAIR's ATEX cabinet cooler systems are designed to be used in conjunction with, not as a replacement for, purged and pressurized control systems. Applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, laser housings, and electronic scales.
