NEMA 4X thermostat control systems provide efficient operation for cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The standard thermostat control system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). Constructed of stainless steel to suit food service and corrosive environments, the NEMA 4X (IP66) cabinet coolers incorporate a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air with no moving parts. The compact cooler installs easily through a standard electrical knockout and features a low pressure relief valve on both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when not in operation to maintain NEMA 4X enclosure integrity. The cabinet coolers are available in various cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts) suitable for both large and small control panels, are UL listed and CE compliant, and offer attributes including dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, corrosion resistant, and suitability for indoor/outdoor service. Sound levels are measured with an optional cold muffler installed. Applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales.
