Thermostat controlled hazardous location NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use with purged electrical enclosures in classified areas, meeting UL requirements for Class I Div 1 Groups A, B, C and D; Class II Div 1 Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. These cabinet cooler systems provide cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed easily through a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4 thermostat control system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and operates efficiently by activating only when internal temperatures near critical levels, making it suitable for fluctuating heat loads from environmental or seasonal changes. The cooler features a low-pressure relief valve that seals when not operating to maintain NEMA 4 enclosure integrity and incorporates a water-dirt filter separator to prevent condensate and dirt ingress. Additionally, the package includes a cold air distribution kit for directing air circulation or targeting hot spots. These systems are UL classified and CE compliant, designed for indoor/outdoor use with dust-tight, oil-tight, and splash-resistant protection. The Hazloc cabinet cooler systems are intended for use with purged and pressurized control systems but are not purged and pressurized control systems themselves.
