Thermostat controlled hazardous location NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use on purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, meeting UL requirements for Class I Div 1 Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II Div 1 Groups E, F, and G; and Class III locations. These coolers, available with cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr, can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. Their thermostat control, factory set at 95°F (35°C) and adjustable, activates the cooler only when internal temperatures near critical levels, optimizing air usage under fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The NEMA 4 (IP66) rating ensures the systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service. Each unit includes a low pressure relief valve to maintain enclosure integrity by sealing when not operating, a water-dirt filter separator to prevent water condensate and dirt ingress, and a cold air distribution kit for directing airflow to circulate or target hot spots. These UL classified and CE compliant cabinet coolers are designed to complement, not replace, purged and pressurized control systems.
