NEMA 4X thermostat control systems are designed to efficiently operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. These systems include an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and feature NEMA 4X (IP66) stainless steel cabinet coolers suitable for food service and corrosive environments. The cabinet coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts and can be installed quickly through a standard electrical knockout. They incorporate a low-pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust, which closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to preserve the NEMA 4 enclosure integrity, providing dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, corrosion-resistant, indoor/outdoor service. Available in multiple cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr (1,641 watts), these compact, quiet units are UL listed and CE compliant, offering benefits such as maintaining NEMA 4X integrity, stabilizing enclosure temperature and humidity, eliminating fans and filters, preventing heat damage, nuisance tripping, circuit drift, dirt contamination, and enabling washdown protection.
