NEMA 4X thermostat control systems are designed to efficiently operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. These standard thermostat control systems include an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and feature NEMA 4X (IP66) cabinet coolers constructed of stainless steel for food service and corrosive environments. EXAIR® cabinet coolers use a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without moving parts and are compact enough for installation in minutes through a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4X (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® systems are dust-tight, oil-tight, splash-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for indoor/outdoor service, incorporating a low-pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust that closes and seals when the cooler is not operating to maintain enclosure integrity. Available in multiple cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr. (1,641 watts) for large and small control panels, all cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant. Typical applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales. The NEMA 4 cabinet cooler provides advantages such as low cost, compact size, quiet operation, easy installation, maintenance of NEMA 4X (IP66) integrity, stabilization of enclosure temperature and humidity, elimination of CFCs, prevention of nuisance tripping, heat damage, circuit drift, dirt contamination, fans, and filters, while providing washdown protection and preventing lost production.
