Thermostat controlled hazardous location NEMA 4 (IP66) cabinet cooler systems are engineered and approved for use with purged electrical enclosures within classified areas, meeting UL requirements for Class I Div 1, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II Div 1 Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. These low cost, reliable systems provide cooling capacities ranging from 1,000 BTU/hr to 5,600 BTU/hr and can be installed through a standard electrical knockout. The NEMA 4 thermostat control system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C) and is designed to save air by activating cooling only as internal temperatures approach critical levels, making it ideal for fluctuating heat loads due to environmental or seasonal changes. The cabinet coolers, rated dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant for indoor/outdoor service, feature a low pressure relief valve that seals the enclosure when not operating to maintain NEMA 4 integrity. Each system includes a water-dirt filter separator to prevent condensate and dirt ingress and a cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for circulation or targeted cooling of hot spots. All coolers are UL classified and CE compliant. These HazLoc cabinet cooler systems are intended for use alongside a purged and pressurized control system and should not be used as a substitute for purged and pressurized controllers.
