NEMA 4X thermostat control systems provide an efficient method to operate cabinet coolers by activating the cooler only when internal temperatures approach critical levels, making them ideal for fluctuating heat loads caused by environmental or seasonal changes. The standard thermostat control system includes an adjustable thermostat factory set at 95°F (35°C). These NEMA 4X (IP66) cabinet coolers are constructed of stainless steel suitable for food service and corrosive environments and utilize a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air without any moving parts. The compact cooler installs in minutes through a standard electrical knockout and incorporates a low-pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and cabinet air exhaust, which closes to maintain the enclosure’s NEMA 4 integrity when the cooler is not operating. Available in many cooling capacities up to 5,600 BTU/hr (1,641 watts) for both large and small control panels, all cabinet coolers are UL listed and CE compliant, offering features including dust-tight, oil-tight, splash resistant, corrosion resistant, indoor/outdoor service, and washdown protection. Applications include programmable controllers, line control cabinets, motor control centers, relay panels, NC/CNC systems, modular control centers, CCTV cameras, computer cabinets, cool laser housings, and electronic scales.
