MTC™ bio culture tubes have a capacity of 14 ml (17100 mm) and feature low density polyethylene (LDPE) snap caps that can be attached in two positions: the first position allows airflow both in and out of the tube for aerobic culturing, while the second position provides a leak-proof and airtight seal ideal for anaerobic culturing and sample storage. The tubes are made of plastic polymers, with durable transparent polypropylene (PP) tubes that withstand temperatures ranging from -86°C to 121°C and can endure centrifugal forces up to 4000g. All tubes and caps are sterilized to SAL 10-6 and are free of RNase, DNase, pyrogens, and cytotoxins. Dual-position snap caps can be attached or ordered separately.
