MTC™ bio culture tubes have a capacity of 1275mm (5ml) and are made of durable transparent polypropylene (PP) capable of withstanding temperatures from -86°C to 121°C. The low density polyethylene (LDPE) snap caps can be attached in two positions: the first position allows the flow of air both in and out of the tube for aerobic culturing, while the second position provides a leak-proof and air-tight seal ideal for anaerobic culturing and sample storage. Polypropylene tubes can withstand centrifugal forces up to 4000g. All tubes and caps are sterilized to SAL 10-6 and are free from RNase, DNase, pyrogen, and cytotoxins. Dual-position snap caps are included attached or can be ordered separately.
