These cell strainers are designed for detaching, isolating, and straining cells from clusters and tissues, featuring built-in compatibility with 12.75mm culture tubes and FACS™ tubes to facilitate pre-sorting and sample preparation for fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)™. They typically use a 20µm porous mesh to obtain a single-cell suspension and prevent clogging in FACS™ instruments, with options for finer or larger pore sizes depending on application requirements for anti-clog protection or rapid flow efficiency. The diameter and wall thickness of the tube’s neck are maintained to very tight tolerances to ensure consistent compatibility with automated instruments. Available with a standard two-position culture cap, no cap, or a cap featuring a 20µm nylon mesh screen to assist in cell sorting and straining, these tubes have pore size options of 20µm, 35µm, 70µm, and 100µm, each color coded by pore size. They come packaged in sterile pouches of 25 strainer caps and are e-beam sterilized with a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10^-6, with a volume capacity of 5ml.
