These cell strainers are designed for detaching, isolating, and straining cells from clusters and tissues, with built-in compatibility for 12.75mm culture tubes and FACS™ tubes, making them ideal for pre-sorting and preparing samples for fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)™. They typically use a 100µm porous mesh to obtain a single-cell suspension and prevent clogging in FACS™ instruments, though pore sizes are available in 20µm, 35µm, 70µm, and 100µm to accommodate various application needs, including finer pores for enhanced anti-clog protection or larger pores for efficient rapid flow and pre-sorting. The tube neck diameter and wall thickness are controlled to tight tolerances to ensure consistent automated instrument compatibility. Options include a standard two-position culture cap, no cap, or a cap containing a 100µm nylon mesh screen for assisting cell sorting and straining. The strainers come sterile in pouches of 25 caps, are E-beam sterilized with a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10^-6, and have a 5ml capacity.
