MTC™ Bio's Erlenmeyer shaker flasks are made of polycarbonate, PETG, or styrene/butadiene (jumbo flasks only) and include polypropylene screw caps that are vented with 0.2 µm membranes to increase air transmission and enhance cell growth. The mouth size conforms to the international SBS standard, allowing quick and secure connection to bioreactor equipment. Polycarbonate flasks and jumbo Fernbach flasks feature baffled (ribbed) bottoms to provide increased oxygenation and mixing efficiency even at lower shaking speeds. All flasks, regardless of size, are individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10^-6. They are free of RNase, DNase, pyrogens, endotoxins, and human DNA. Polycarbonate flasks are autoclavable at 121°C and 15 PSI for 30 minutes.
