MTC™ Bio's Erlenmeyer shaker flasks are constructed from polycarbonate, PETG, or styrene/butadiene (jumbo flasks only) and feature polypropylene screw caps vented with 0.2 µm membranes to enhance air transmission and support cell growth. The mouth size adheres to the international SBS standard, ensuring quick and secure connections to bioreactor equipment. Polycarbonate and jumbo Fernbach flasks include baffled (ribbed) bottoms to improve oxygenation and mixing efficiency at lower shaking speeds. Each flask, regardless of size, is individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10^-6, and is free from RNase, DNase, pyrogens, endotoxins, and human DNA. Polycarbonate flasks are autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 30 minutes.
