MTC™ Bio's Erlenmeyer shaker flasks are available in polycarbonate, PETG, or styrene/butadiene materials (jumbo flasks only) and feature polypropylene screw caps vented with 0.2μ membranes to enhance air transmission and cell growth. The flasks have a mouth size conforming to the international SBS standard, allowing for quick and secure connection to bioreactor equipment. Polycarbonate flasks and jumbo Fernbach flasks are designed with baffled (ribbed) bottoms to improve oxygenation and mixing efficiency, even at lower shaking speeds. Each flask, regardless of size, is individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6. They are free from RNase, DNase, pyrogens, endotoxins, and human DNA. Polycarbonate flasks are autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 30 minutes.
