SureFrame™ plates are made with a special two-material process that creates an ultra-rigid polycarbonate frame while maintaining the favorable thermal transfer characteristics of polypropylene tube wells. This fully skirted PC frame is ideal for all automated platforms and plate grippers, providing increased uniformity in experiments by eliminating warping typically seen in traditional one-material plates inside thermal cyclers. Warping in conventional plates causes increased evaporation in the outer wells, leading to inconsistent amplification across wells, whereas SureFrame™'s polycarbonate frame prevents this issue to ensure completely uniform PCR results. The plates are certified for PCR use.
