SureFrame™ plates are manufactured using a special two-material process that produces an ultra-rigid polycarbonate frame combined with polypropylene tube wells, maintaining favorable thermal transfer characteristics. This design ensures compatibility with all automated platforms and plate grippers while enhancing experimental uniformity by eliminating warping commonly seen in traditional one-material plates inside thermal cyclers. Warping in conventional plates leads to increased evaporation in outer wells and inconsistent amplification. The polycarbonate frame of SureFrame™ plates prevents warping, ensuring completely uniform PCR results. The plates are certified for PCR use and feature a semi-skirted polycarbonate frame.
