Metalpro's 8" brake accessory fits in any Metalpro ironworkers central workstation and includes a standard 90 degree forming brake die set with a 10-gauge upper punch and 3/16" lower die. The MP4110 universal brake can be used in all Metalpro machine models as well as other applications such as H frame presses. Metalpro offers an assortment of die sizes and styles capable of forming 28 gauge to 1/2" mild steel, with width limited to tonnage requirements. All Metalpro machines and accessories are made in the USA and built to last. When calculating bending tonnage, use the formula: 150 x material thickness = tonnage required for a 12" length of mild steel. It is recommended to bend material, regardless of width, in the center of the brake.
