The 36"W x 24"D x 84"H SC Preferred™ commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish, featuring a boltless design for quick assembly without nuts, bolts, or clips. This four-shelf unit provides four-sided access to stored items and includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers. It has double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for added stability, secured by rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into the corner posts to eliminate back and side sway. Each adjustable shelf, supporting up to 400 lbs. evenly distributed, is fitted with DuraDeck decking—a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily—ideal for healthcare and food service applications. Shelves adjust in 1" increments and the unit can be extended with add-on units for additional storage space. Pre-sized panels allow for seamless installation, and the open design enhances accessibility.
