The 48"W x 12"D x 36"H SC Preferred™ commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish and designed for quick assembly without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. The unit features a heavy-duty frame with 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels for added stability, and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for reliable support. Rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into the corner posts to form stable joints that eliminate back and side sway. It includes three adjustable shelves fitted with DuraDeck decking, a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily, ideal for healthcare and food service applications, with shelves adjustable in 1" increments. The open design allows four-sided access to stored items, and the unit supports up to 300 lbs. per level when weight is evenly distributed. Pre-sized panels ensure seamless installation, and the shelving can be extended with add-on units for additional storage space.
