The 48"W x 24"D x 84"H SC Preferred™ commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish and features a boltless design for quick assembly without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. The heavy-duty frame includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, with double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for added stability. The rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming a stable joint that eliminates back and side sway. This 5-shelf unit supports up to 300 lbs. per level when evenly distributed, allows shelf adjustment in 1" increments, and provides four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility. Each adjustable shelf is fitted with DuraDeck decking, a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily, making it ideal for healthcare and food service applications. The pre-sized panels enable seamless installation, and the shelving can be extended with add-on units for additional storage space.
