The Lyon® 8000 series open steel shelving add-on unit instantly creates more vertical storage space and is designed for high visibility storage. This industrial shelving unit allows viewing from either side and includes five adjustable metal shelves suitable for storing light parts and aerosols as well as heavier items such as tools and safety supplies. The unit features an upright assembly consisting of two T-post uprights made from durable hot-rolled 16-gauge steel, a cross side brace made of 12-gauge steel, and a 12-gauge cross brace on the back to prevent lateral sway, providing necessary support and stability. The five shelves are available in three gauges: 22-gauge medium-duty for small parts and lightweight items, 20-gauge heavy-duty, or 18-gauge extra heavy-duty for heavier items like toolboxes and large parts. Each shelf has a patented box design that enhances strength at the front and rear, with lapped and welded corners for additional durability. Shelves include four clips that can be adjusted on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers without tools, allowing for easy customization of shelf spacing. The shelving is finished with a durable dove gray powder coat paint to protect from everyday use, making it suitable for warehouse or commercial applications.
