The SC Preferred™ 7-shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage space in retail, commercial, and industrial settings. Each starter unit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams adjustable vertically at 1" increments, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. The open shelves provide ventilation, visibility, and light penetration with wire decking, allowing sprinkler water to pass through easily, thus improving fire safety. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports that prevent beam rotation under full loads, and double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts to form a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish ensures durability, and the system requires no bolts, nuts, or clips for easy assembly and maximum flexibility with four-side access.
