The system is ideal for a wide variety of light- and medium-duty fastener applications and features one-piece fastener strips with pre-inserted staples that expedite installation while minimizing downtime. It is designed for belts ranging from 1/16" (1.5 mm) to 1/4" (6.4 mm), and the Alligator Ready Set installation is facilitated by a portable, lightweight application tool that can be conveniently transported to the job site for on-site installation. To use, the fastener strip is fitted onto the belt end and secured with the special installation tool, followed by driving and finishing set the staples for a robust, long-lasting splice. This product is suitable for various market applications including package and parts conveying, food and sanitary contact, agricultural harvesting and handling, recycling and scrap handling, and wood products. The standard fastener material is made from galvanized steel, providing suitability for most applications, and is plated for rust and corrosion resistance. The kit includes a nylon covered steel cable, which is intended for use with steel fasteners and is recommended for troughing or flat belt conveyors.
