Tartan™ box sealing tape 305 is a general purpose packing tape suitable for lightweight applications, specifically in the food and beverage industry. It features a 1.8 mil (46 micron) biaxially oriented polypropylene film backing that is easy to handle, resists abrasion, moisture, scuffing, aging, weathering, and UV light, and offers non-yellowing properties to resist discoloration over time. The tape uses a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that adheres instantly and consistently to difficult surfaces, including cartons with high recycled content, and provides good edge tear and split resistance. It is designed for cold temperature applications and smooth dispensing by hand, manual dispensers, or 3M-Matic™ case sealers. This tape meets FDA guidelines for indirect food contact and is recommended for general purpose packaging, recycled liner paper and fiberboard, cartons exposed to UV light and aging, tabbing, and bag closure. It is ideal for securely closing regular slotted containers (RSC) and packages used in moving, shipping, and distribution.
