The wheel is constructed from a fiber-filled phenolic resin that is molded under extreme pressure, allowing it to support heavy loads without causing floor damage in intermittent service. It is specifically designed to be non-marking and resistant to corrosion from oils, water, grease, and common acids or solvents, while also being spark-resistant. The wheel can be operated continuously in temperatures ranging from -50 to 260 degrees F and intermittently up to 300 degrees F.
