Bare Ground Clear Way potassium acetate provides fast and reliable anti-icing and deicing performance without containing damaging chlorides, glycols, or methanols. It is completely water soluble, readily biodegradable, non-flammable, and safer for bridges and roadway surfaces. Clear Way potassium acetate meets FAA specifications and can be applied to runways, taxiways, bridges, and other pavement areas. It features a low freeze point of -4°F, making it suitable for environmentally sensitive areas. Potassium acetate is generally applied undiluted using existing spray equipment capable of uniform liquid application to pavement. When spray rates are adjustable, application should be at 0.5 gallons per 1000 ft² of surface area treated, with higher rates up to 1.5 gallons per 1000 ft² possible based on experience. Low spray pressures that produce large droplet sizes are preferred for best results.
